Pedemontana della Reit
The Reit is a beautiful mountain of limestone and dolomite, which dominates the Bormio valley. Right here is the path called “Pedemontana della Reit”, a trail suitable for everyone, young and old. Along the trail, you can admire the old centre of Bormio, the ski slopes and the famous Cima Piazzi.
Starting from the Pravasivo car park (near the Bagni Vecchi), follow the direction to Pramezzano and Uzza on dirt road no. 533, walking for a long stretch through the woods to a panoramic clearing with a wooden building. Here you can stop for a snack or continue the walk towards Casina Alta (another beautiful panoramic spot).

Val Viola
Val Viola is an ideal destination for those seeking authentic contact with nature and the roots of Valtellina. The valley offers numerous hiking and mountain biking itineraries that wind through forests, pastures, lakes and mountain huts. Among the most impressive destinations are Lake Viola, Lake Nero, the Val Viola pass and the Federico refuge in Val Dosdè.

Cancano Lakes Tour
If you love nature and outdoor walks, you can't miss the Cancano Lakes, two splendid artificial reservoirs immersed in the Stelvio National Park, just a few kilometres from Bormio and Valdidentro.
The Cancano Lakes tour is an easy excursion suitable for the whole family, which can be done on foot or by bicycle, following the perimeter road that connects Lake Cancano with Lake San Giacomo di Fraele.
Along the way you can admire the ancient Fraele Towers, a testimony to the valley's medieval history, the little Solena church, a small stone jewel, and the dams that regulate the flow of water and produce hydroelectric power.
